The THIRSTY watch

Hi everyone haven't blogged in a while, life has been crazy busy and I've had lots of dance competitions to prepare my students for but now I have a couple of weeks off! Yay!

I wanted to blog about this new watch I got from Burns Jewellers (http://www.burnsjewellersgroup.com/) and I loved this watch so much I wanted to tell you guys about it.

Firstly I just want to big up Burns Jewellers, really good customer service, item arrived very quickly in excellent condition and they seem a friendly bunch of people = exactly what you want from a company

So this watch is called a 'Thirsty' watch (http://www.burnsjewellersgroup.com/search/thirsty#:page1 ) and costs £57.50 and comes in 17 different colours so I was very spoilt for choice but eventually settled on the 'Thirsty Dragon Red Strap Watch' (which actually is more fuchsia pink) and it is also unisex (my boyfriend is desperate for an orange or yellow one now he's seen mine!) .

So the watch arrived and I have to say I loveeeee the 'drink bottle' style packaging, it's so cool with the lid and bottom matching the colour of the watch you have chosen and such a good idea and once you've taken the watch out it has a slot at the back so you can use it as a money box after = very good idea. On the back it says 'Thirsty watches are designed in Paris by professional watch manufacturers. Such fundamental values as quality, comfort and aestheticism are part of their DNA'

It is made from plastic and silicone but it feels really soft and it has that kind of feel where you can't stop touching it because it feels so nice! (Or maybe that's just me :-/ lol) and like the packaging says it is a very comfortable watch to wear and it doesn't feel bulky and I love that the strap isn't bulky either. It has everything you need in a watch- The time (Obviously!) and the date and for this colour Thirsty watch the winder to adjust the time/date has a cute little star on (Ps excuse the 2nd photo , a bit blurry it is sooo difficult to take a photo with my left hand without shaking!! )

A lot of people think it is a similar style to a certain other watch on the market mentioning no names but I can compare because my boyfriend owns one of 'those' and he thinks in comparison Thirsty watches are much better quality and seem a lot more durable. Mines been great so far think I've had it a month or 2 now and it's kept the right time and date perfectly (always good!!)

It also comes with a 2 year warrantee so it's always good to have that peace of mind so check them out I'm sure someone in your life could do with one of the new Thirsty watches :-) - maybe Christmas present idea??

Adios!

Kirsty's TOP makeup tip- you will thank me forever!

My top makeup tip is BLUE EYELINER!

Many people in the world believe that white eyeliner on your waterline is what is needed to make the whites of your eyes whiter and to pop but they are WRONG!

The whites of your eyes aren't pure white so by using a white eyeliner you are highlighting the IMPERFECTIONS of your eyes and making the whites of your eyes look yellowish = not good!! You will make your eyes look old and horrible

BUT by using a light baby BLUE eyeliner you are accentuating the white of your eye and make them look beautiful and look bright and awake = WORLD'S PROBLEMS SOLVED!

You can all thank me later ;-)

Biscuits from 'Bisquites'

Sometimes when looking around for presents I find it really difficult, what do you buy the person who seems to have everything?! Well if they have a sweet tooth, biscuits from 'Bisquites' may just be the answer.

I was very lucky and won mine in a twitter competition and having the biggest sweet tooth going I was super excited to get them through. They were presented beautifully and arrived in perfect condition and they looked so cute! As you can see from the picture I got the 'doughnut' biscuits and they tasted AMAZING! My family managed to tear a few off me (things so yummy are hard to share!) and they were in agreement that it was the best shortbread they had ever tasted  and the icing on top added extra yumminess!

The price of the gift box I received is £16 which may seem pricey to some but I assure you they are excellent quality and they are individually quite big biscuits and I think they are well worth it because of that and like I said these biscuits can suit any occasion whether it be birthday, thank you gift, leaving gift etc so the possibilities are endless and they have decorative biscuits for males and females. I definitely know already what I will be purchasing this Christmas for some of my friends!

As well as gift boxes, like I received, they also do wedding favours (I would love that if I went to a wedding and got a Bisquite product!), single biscuits, biscuit letters to make up names, biscuit bunting etc etc but definitely check out the website for their wide selection and there is definitely something for everyone on there. If you are posting them to someone as a gift you can also add a gift message.

Biscuits from Bisquites are sold via their website (http://www.bisquites.co.uk/web/) and also in Harrods.

Nail's Inc 'Pinkie Pink' Nail Polish

When I discovered that a really pink and super sparkle nail polish existed I practically jumped for joy
Pink with sparkle=amazingness, my life is complete! And that is exactly what you get with Nail's Inc 'Pinkie Pink' nail polish

Where can you buy this fabulous polish I hear you ask?? Well you can buy it from the Nails Inc website but that would set you back £11 whereas if you buy it from Amazon you can get it for the discounted price of £9.90 (woop woop we love a bargain)

(Click link below to take you straight through to Pinkie Pink on Amazon)

Buy Nails Inc Pinkie Pink at Amazon

Now what I like about this polish to start with is £1 from every 'Pinkie Pink' sale goes to Breast Cancer Campaign so as well as treating yourself you are doing a bit for charity and a very deserving charity as well.

This colour can be worn alone (but you'd need quite about 3/4 coats to cover completely) or what I did is use a fuchsia base coat and then 2 coats of pinkie pink and it looked amazing (colour comes out much better in real life than in the picture) and  everywhere I went I was getting compliments on my nails so they really do have a WOW factor! They are just so sparkly and such a gorgeous shade of pink!

Now I love the colours that Nail's Inc sell but I do find that they chip easily and don't last long and this one is no different unless you invest in a good top coat as well, but for this colour it is well worth it, and where the glitter particles are quite big, minus a top coat, they can catch quite easily and then you can easily peel the whole coat of nail polish which is not cool! Minus a top coat I'd say these nails will last a day maximum but with a top coat your looking at about a week (yay!)

So top coats I recommend would be Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat which comes in at £10.80, or if you don't have that kind of money to spend I would definitely recommend Rimmel Pro Super Wear Top Coat as well which comes in at a mere £4.50 but is really good too. So for me this polish + top coat = one perfect product

Please feel free to comment my lovelies and if you have any more questions about the product
I will get back to you ASAP

This one's for the blokes!- Body Shop Maca Root Shave Cream

Hi everyone , I know what you are thinking, she's blogging about men's products when she is a blogger of generally fabulous things????What is the world coming to????

Yes, I know it sounds strange but am blogging about it because it makes my bloke feel fabulous and I feel like blokes shouldn't always be left out of the fabulous-ness

And this MAN fabulous blog is about Body Shop's Maca Root Shave Cream

http://thebodyshop.co.uk/skincare/mens-face-care/for-men-maca-root-shave-cream.aspx

Now this is what Body Shop says it should do 'A rich cream to perfectly prepare the skin for a close and comfortable shave, whilst conditioning and moisturising skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth. Suitable for all skin types. Ideal for men looking for a first rate shave whilst energising the skin and helping to improve its condition'

So I bought this as a little present for my boyfriend thinking 'ahh what a lovely girlfriend I am buying my partner something to pamper himself with' and the first thing he says when he gets it was 'blimey bit expensive isn't it, I'd NEVER pay that much for shaving cream' (That's gratitude for ya girlies!).

Ok he has a bit of a point it is £5.50 for 125ml (which comes in an easy squeezy tube) or £8 for 200ml (which comes in a scoopy tub) but if you have a Body Shop card you do get 10% of all purchases and sometimes a bit more if they have some kind of special offer going on. But my boyfriend is the pick up the cheapest shaving cream he can find from the supermarket kind of guy, doesn't care about brand as long as it says shaving cream/gel/whatever on the can he's happy :-\

Anyway I let him get on having his little shave and I'd say my partner has pretty normal blokey skin? And his initial feedback was, easy to apply from the squeezy tube and makes an easy shave and he didn't have some crazy skin reaction so that's a bonus! So far so good :-)

But the main thing that this cream has going for it...I could not believe how SOFT my partner's skin was. As they say, it was as smooth as a baby's bum! Sounds a bit freaky but I could not stop touching his face! Even HE kept going round to people going 'Feel my skin it's so lovely and soft! It's this great shaving cream from Body Shop!'

I think all these women's moisturisers on the market need to take note because I have personally never come across a skin moisturiser for me that makes my skin as soft as that shave cream makes my boyfriends'. Not even the expensive ones. Maybe I should try rubbing the shave cream into my face and blog about my skin after a few weeks

anyways....

NOW I have changed his perspective on the world and he will buy no other shaving cream! He is a reformed man!

And now I have to make trips every 3 months to Body Shop (so it does last quite a while as my partner shaves every day) to replace it otherwise he just won't shave!

Anyways I will be blogging about some female skin products I have bought recently  from Body Shop in a few weeks after I have let them (hopefully) work there magic so keep an eye out :-)

LOTSA LOVE!!!!

PS You can also purchase this via Amazon as well ----->

'Busy Bee Candle' Wax Melts

As a lover of all things fabulous, anything scented, generally goes onto my fabulous list
Now I've tried Yankee candles and random wax melts and scented candles and I've found they smell chemically or just don't smell like what they are meant to = Disappointed Kirsty :-(

UNTIL

THE DAY

I DISCOVERED

BUSY BEE CANDLES! (www.busybeecandles.co.uk)

After joining twitter I discovered a whole new SHOPPING universe (=super happy Kirsty), and this same name kept popping up with some great reviews

Firstly for those who don't know, this--------------------------> is how you use a wax melt (and if you don't have a burner, well this gives you a perfect excuse to go shopping!!)

Now for wax melt prices they are on a similar-ish line to Yankee (they charge £1.25 a wax melt) which I must admit put me off slightly at first as you couldn't smell before you buy and I was thinking hmm will I be wasting money like I did on Yankee but after a few months of teasing myself by looking at their website I decided to take the plunge and order a couple of wax melts

(Make sure you are following them on Twitter                             (@BusyBeeCandles ) as they sometimes give out discount codes meaning you can get even more for your money yayy and they also occasionally run twitter competitions giving you the chance to win some of their amazing stuff!)

And I am SOOO glad I did because Busy Bee Candles are the MASTER of SCENT and not only did they smell FABULOUS each wax melt has lasted aggggessss and I have found some of mine have lasted up to TEN tea lights worth and more, that's like 40 hours burning time!! for £1.25!!! Packaging is simple but effective and they were packaged safely for their delivery journey so arrived in perfect condition, but the main thing that I love about them is how accurate the scents are.

I bought my Stepmum a 'Fresh Cut Grass' candle thinking oh it will just smell of flowers or something but I kid you not this candle smelt of grass, I didn't stop sniffing it for days! Another brilliant one was 'Cola Cubes', I got the wax melt started burning it, my partner came home getting excited thinking I'd bought him the sweets! (He was a bit disappointed to learn though that you CAN'T eat the wax melts, I have checked and as delicious as they smell you definitely can't eat them) There's no point me going through the scents of every wax melt I own from Busy Bee Candles (unless you really want me to!) because you may as well go on the website and look at scent descriptions because what you read on there is really what you are going to get!

They also have amazing customer service. My first order was sent with some courier company that lost the parcel, but Busy Bee Candles sent me out another parcel straight away with no quibbles and were really helpful and they turned out to be lovely, fabulous people :-D  Which is exactly what you want as a customer from a business (and they have awesome Welsh accents!)

I love all the wax melts I've received from Busy Bee Candles (too many to list) but my all time favorites are Blackberry Fizz, Lime Cooler, Sandy Toes, Pink Lemonade (this actually smells fizzy how great is that??), Pina Colada, Tangerine Sensation, Mango and Papaya Smoothie and Coconut Breeze and these are great to try for a first time if you are a Busy Bee Candles virgin!

So the moral of the story is- don't cheat yourself with cheap rubbishy scented wax melts that don't last long folks, pop on over  to Busy Bee Candles, you will not be disappointed! Add a fabulous scent into your life

 :-D

Peace Out :-p

OREO CHEESECAKE

Hi everyone my name's Kirsty and I love all things fabulous and if they sparkle as well that's a bonus! I want to blog about these fabulous things that I love and hopefully you do too! And what I'm totally loving at the moment is OREO CHEESECAKE!
Now I'm not particularly domesticated, actually I'm not at all so when I make up recipes I make sure they are as simple as physically possible otherwise I can't be bothered to do it! And this recipe tastes damn good so give it a try, let me know what you think and if you have fabulous cheesecake presenting skills why not show me a pic? ;-) As you can see in the pic my presenting skills aren't particularly amazing!!  I've no idea how many people it serves because my family are greedy so serves 4 in our household but I think in a normal family it should serve 8

INGREDIENTS
The Base
200g of Oreos (aka 2 packs) (with the centre filling put to one side)
90g butter
1 tbsp caster sugar

The Topping
300g cream cheese (I've been using Philadelphia)
200ml double cream
1 tsp vanilla essence
180g caster sugar
(The oreo centre filling)

Making The Base

1. Separate the oreos and place the biscuit part in a bowl (or cellophane bag) and scrape the oreo filling off the biscuits into a separate bowl and put the filling aside for later

2. Release all anger and stress and smash the Oreo biscuits into crumbs (as well as releasing stress this is also a fabulous arm workout )

3. Melt the butter (making sure you don't burn it)

4. Mix the butter, tablespoon of caster sugar and the biscuit together and then spread out into the dish you are using for the cheesecake and place in fridge for about 30 minutes to set

IN THE MEANTIME

Making the Topping

1. Whip the cream into firm-ish peaks and set to one side (I do the bowl over the head move) if you want more of an arm workout use your everyday whisk but if you are feeling lazy definitely go with the electric whisker = life saver!
2.In a separate bowl add the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla essence and oreo filling and beat/whisk together (again electric mixer does the job fabulously!)
3. Mix the cream in with cream cheese mixture, apparently according to the foodies you should really fold it in before mixing it together but if having a lazy day go straight in with the electric mixer as I don't think it makes a difference!

TAKE THE BASE OUT OF THE FRIDGE AND SPREAD THE CREAM/CHEESE MIX ON TOP , PLACE IN THE FRIDGE FOR ANOTHER 30 MINS (unless you can't wait that long) EH VOILA!!

Enjoy guys any questions please post a comment or whatever (Still not sure how all this lovely blogging thing works!) and I will do my best to reply (if I can work it out!)
